PAINTING COMPETITION - JOINING HANDS WITH LIFEBUOY TO CELEBRATE GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY

Building on the successes of previous initiatives in combating acute diarrhea, acute respiratory infections, and ensuring COVID-19 safety during the pandemic, Lifebuoy continues to achieve success in promoting safe hand hygiene through the 6-step handwashing process. This effort has garnered enthusiastic response from the community of parents, youth, and students through various communication and media activities.

As World Hand Hygiene Day approaches, the landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic remains complex, with the emergence of new variants and the potential resurgence of various infectious diseases. Lifebuoy continues to promote and advocate for clean and safe hand hygiene, with a special focus on ensuring comprehensive health for students, helping them understand the most appropriate antibacterial products to safeguard their well-being.

To effectively commemorate World Hand Hygiene Day, Lifebuoy has organized a painting competition. This competition aims to empower students, allowing them to proactively enhance their awareness of the importance of regular and proper handwashing with soap while ensuring health and safety. With proactive education targeting over 10,000 students in Ho Chi Minh City, the initiative not only promotes correct hygiene practices but also guides them towards selecting the most suitable antibacterial products. This contributes to the development of a generation of Vietnamese youth that is both safe and healthy. The competition took place from October 16th to October 23rd, 2022, across primary schools in the city of Ho Chi Minh.

Throughout the competition, the organization received enthusiastic support and active participation from primary schools. The total number of submissions for the program exceeded 600 entries. The students' submissions were diverse and rich, showcasing a plethora of interesting ideas and themes. They all aimed to emphasize the significance of handwashing through their artworks. The winning pieces will be announced and awarded to the most outstanding students who have achieved recognition for their accomplishments.

Partnering with Lifebuoy in this competition, SAO EDU aims to spread the spirit of voluntary handwashing to not only primary school students but also to all educational levels. The goal is to empower students to proactively protect themselves in the context of our society's shared experience with diseases and constant underlying dangers. By safeguarding themselves, they also contribute to protecting their loved ones and building a healthier society. This responsibility isn't limited to students; adults too need to enhance their awareness of maintaining personal and children's health hygiene.
